LIMA'17

I used to live near an air base camp. I remember it loud and clear when I first saw a jet flying by my house. That exact moment, I realised that I wanted to be part of it any way possible. Perhaps, a pilot or a mechanic who knows! The dreams are yet to come.

Anyhow, there's something about the roaring sound of jets and planes made my soul alive. Euw sounded cliche but that is as true as it can get. Long story short, I was lucky enough to be free for LIMA'17! The exhibition was held biennially and I constantly found myself stuck in finals for the event. This year, however, chances came and I impulsively bought a ticket to Langkawi.

I cried a tiny wee bit during the airshow because I was so overwhelmed by the amazing acrobatic performance and the energy around me.

My K-loving ass was quite bummed to miss out the meet and greet with Black Eagle's pilots. I almost blurted out "anyeong" to one of the ground crew but failed nyeh.

Didn't I tell you, no balloons!

Me: Guys, please keep this in mind. I hate balloons, birthday surprises and attention. Forget everything.
Friends: Hey, let's do just that!
Me: -_-

Oh my god, I couldn't believe my friends made me go through the tormenting evening! But hey girlfriends, you wouldn't have thought that I'd slipped the memories without posting it on the socmed and tell ya how much I appreciated everything. Sar, Shik and Far (or as we would call ourselves, the KSJ Krewzz - I know rad aite!) were lovely enough to plan a day out for my birthday celebration. The girls, of course, bought helium balloons, forced me to wear the birthday crown and we spent the evening chilling in the park.

Anyway girls, thank you for such efforts. You guys made my reasons-to-be-thankful-list longer. I, on the other hand, was never good at remembering birthday dates and picking up gifts. But, none of you has ever complained hehe.

Congratulations crew, you guys made it to the final year of diploma! Keep up the fight.
And no, Far is not an imaginary friend- she was out of town.

Of forest and deer

Someone should've told me that being an adult can be super tiring. At home, everyone was so caught up with work and end up calling the night early. Ever since my brother went to college, the family spend even lesser time together and there's only 3 of us!

So we decided to make a new ritual for us to have a brunch at any cool cafe around KL/ Klang Valley, yknow at least once or twice a month. Hopefully, to have some quality catching up and enjoy good food. I had the honoured (I always do) to choose our previous eatery and went to Rimba & Rusa by Wondermilk.

Got nerve to NERF?

It may not be part of your portion yet, but whatever desires you have inside, it can wait a little longer. You tend to get impatient and mad if things don't work out but doesn't that what youth is all about? To keep walking and discovering.

Anyway, I found a NERF N-strike Elite Sonic Centrion Blaster in my cousin's room. He's in early 30 with two daughters, so I guess you have to wait till then to own such dreams.

A postcard from Ohio

Hey look what came in my mailbox! A long awaited postcard from the States. Izzah is my one of many dear friends - after 17 years of friendship, I can never undo the love I have for her. Girlfriend, if you're reading this, I wish for a genuine happiness and success for you. Tho, I have to admit (and hate it) that every now and then I felt apologetic as time has got in the way between us.

"Jangan engkau ragu, aku disini untukmu. Walaupun tak slalu di raga yang sama.

Back in the writing-hood

I wonder if anybody still reads a blog.

I've decided to pick blogging back up simply cause I miss it. Prolly will take some time to gear in a steady momentum and yes, ideas. I'm planning on getting myself a new camera but currently at zero budget for it (huhu). Oh, could I possibly be ranting and shouting into a deep dark void of nothingness? Likely. Anyway, till ideas strike, here's a kitchen scene of my diligent friends and only-care-for-the-camera me

Bandung - white and lanterns

On my recent visit to Bandung, mom was nice enough to let me choose our hotel. After some "ooh"s and "aah"s we settled for a beautiful guesthouse which of course I've forgotten its name. I like how they keep everything neat and minimal. We definitely had a warm and peaceful stay wuuhuu
